New Trailer for Return to Silent Hill

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, a new trailer for Return to Silent Hill has been released more than a year after the debut teaser. Based on the Silent Hill video game, the film was originally slated for release in 2024 but has now been pushed to January 2026.

The story of the game follows James Sunderland, who receives a letter from his deceased wife calling him back to Silent Hill, the place where they once spent their vacations. In the film, Jeremy Irvine stars as James Sunderland, while Hannah Emily Anderson plays Mary Crane.

Cineverse has described Return to Silent Hill as a “faithful adaptation” of the video game Silent Hill 2, originally released in 2001 and remade in 2024.

The first Silent Hill film featured Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Laurie Holden, Kim Coates, Deborah Kara Unger, and Tanya Allen. Made on a $50 million budget, it grossed $100.6 million worldwide.

Christophe Gans, who directed the 2006 Silent Hill movie, returns to helm the sequel. Two years ago, he said: “This film tells the story of a young man who comes back to Silent Hill, where he once experienced a great love. But what he finds will be nothing short of a nightmare.”

Return to Silent Hill is scheduled to be released in January 2026.
